Tea Tree & Lavender Handmade Natural Soap:

A gentle yet effective bar that contains two essential oils perfect for Summer months, they can both soothe and heal the skin as well as having powerful antiseptic properties.  This is the bar to have with you when you’ve caught a little too much sun or are suffering from those unavoidable insect bites!

Peppermint & Eucalyptus Handmade Natural Soap:

Freshen up after a day in the sunshine with cooling essential oils and skin loving ingredients including coconut oil and shea butter – together they’ll give your senses and skin the boost you need to make the most of the sun well into the evening.

Unlike fragrances which are chemically derived, essential oils have therapeutic values that can among many other things help to boost creativity and instil a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Just a quick sniff from the bottle can sometimes be enough but you can also add a drop to a tissue or pop a few drops in your bath – a couple of drops added to a teaspoon of carrier oil also works wonders as a massage oil.

These are the 3 essential oils that I keep on hand to blast those afternoon slumps and keep me calm at times when nothing is going the way I think it should!

• Peppermint Essential Oil:  A quick sniff of this oil is like splashing your face with cold water, it’s refreshing, energising and instantly lifts a sluggish mood.  Great for headaches too – just rub a drop onto each temple.

• Orange Essential Oil: Such a sweet, sunny oil that has a really positive feel, it works throughout the whole day and although it’s seen as an uplifting oil it can also be really helpful in the evenings to help children – and adults – get a good nights sleep.

• Lavender Essential Oil: I can only use this oil in very small amounts during the day because it has me yawning in seconds!  But at times when you’re feeling so hassled that you can’t even get a handle on your own thoughts, it helps to take a minute out and use this oil to restore your sense of balance and calm.

Love the idea of soap but have awful memories of dried up bars on the side of the basin? Well you’ll be pleased to know that things have moved on and there’s a world of real natural soap just waiting to be discovered…

   Many natural soaps are handmade by small artisan businesses which gives them a level of personal care and attention that you don’t find in a mass produced product and so, as well as enjoying a great quality soap bar you’d also be supporting a small UK business.
