Due to its popularity in the 1960's and 1970's amongst those following a hippie path, the scent of Patchouli is often associated with alternative lifestyles. Today, its woody exotic scent is often used in high-end luxury perfumes to help add depth and anchor top note scents. Like all good things patchouli is one of the few oils that improves with age!
