Our traditional, energy efficient soap making methods would be meaningless if we did not also pay attention to our ingredients. Take at look through our list to see what we use to make our products and why...

Olive Oil : This is the main ingredient in all of our handmade natural soaps. As well as being wonderfully softening, olive oil also has the ability to attract external moisture to the skin. Made from the fruit of the olive tree through pressing and solvent extraction.

Coconut Oil : This produces large and naturally soft bubbles in all of our handmade natural soaps. Made from the meat of the coconut.

Cocoa butter :This smells like chocolate and is a truly indulgent way to treat dry skin. We use this as the main ingredient in our bath melts and body butter bars. Obtained from the cocoa bean.

Palm Oil : Combined with our other base oils this helps us to make a long lasting bar of soap so that you can enjoy the natural goodness for longer. A mild oil made from the pulp of the fruit from the olive palm. We use Palm Oil only in our soaps and we obtain it from a supplier who is a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), which has as its objective the promotion of the sustainable production of palm oil.

Sweet Almond Oil : Gentle and high in protein. So kind that it's often used on dry and itchy skin conditions. We use this in all of our bath bombs and bath melts to soothe and care for your skin. Made from the almond nut.

Castor Oil : A moisturising oil, high in fatty acids and great for dry skin. We include it in all of our handmade natural soaps. Derived from the castor bean plant.

Shea Butter : Used for over a thousand years this elegant butter helps to protect and nourish dry cracked skin. We love it! It's the main ingredient for our shea butter whips, we also put it in our handmade natural soaps, body butter bars and natural balms.

White Clay: A soft gentle clay that can be used on all skin types. It's properties include the ability to draw impurities from your skin without removing it's natural oils. We use white clay in natural face masks.

Pink Clay: A delicate clay that is ideal for dry/sensitive skin. It's properties are said to help balance and refine the appearence of your skin. We love it and combine it with gorgeous strawberries in our Strawberry and Pink Clay face mask.

Wheatgerm Oil:This oil has high levels of vitamin E, making it especially effective for dryer skin. We use it for its nourishing qualities in our Carrot and Wheatgerm cleansing bar, created especially for facial use.

Jojoba Oil: Great for balancing out dry and damaged skin because it's so similar to your natural skin oil. We combine it with shea butter for a luxurious treatment in all of our Shea Butter Whips and you'll also find it in most of our natural balms.

Honey: A luxurious ingredient for skin products. Honey is a natural humectant, which means that it helps to draw moisture to your skin to keep it soft and supple. We really value the qualities of honey and use it in our Honey and Oats handmade natural soap and all of our face masks and facial scrubs.

Yoghurt: To soothe and rejuvenate troubled skin. We use powdered yoghurt in our Yoghurt & Green clay face mask.

Macadamia nut oil: A wonderful hydrating oil with high levels of palmitoleic acid to help protect your skin. We use this extra special oil in our soothing natural balm.

Carrot oil: This oil is full of natural vitamins and beta-carotene making it especially helpful for chapped and dry skin. We love it for it's soothing properties and natural bright colour, you'll find it in our Carrot and WheatGerm natural facial soap and our soothing natural balm.

Oats : Naturally soothing for the skin. Finely ground oats help to naturally exfoliate your skin. You'll find oats in our Facial Scrubs, Orange Peel and Mint Body Butter and Citrus and oats handmade natural soap.

Pumice : Finely ground pumice is great for removing hard skin, so we use lots of it in our Fennel and Mint Foot bar. To help remove grime and dirt we also use a few pinches in our Gardeners handmade natural soap.

Peppermint : We use peppermint to add natural colour and in some of our handmade natural soap.

Rosehips : These add a grainy texture to soap for a more abrasive exfoliation.

Calendula Petals : Ground and used to add a natural yellow/orange colour to our soap.

Paprika : A natural colour that also adds a gentle exfoliating texture to soap. Take a look at our Patchouli and Orange natural soap to see just how vibrant natural colours can be.

Chamomile flowers : Finely ground, these add texture to soap for gentle exfoliation. We use these in our best selling Lavender & Chamomile natural soap bar.
