We're all responsible for reducing the impact that we have on the world around us and even the little things can make a big difference and so here are a few of the things that we do to keep our impact to a minimum:

Methods:

Making all of our products by hand keeps our energy consumption to a minimum - our soap making method is cold process which means that only a minimum amount of external heat is required at the beginning of the process to help melt the solid oils.

Packaging:

Packaging is an important factor in keeping our products fresh and safe for use, however, we are careful not to over package our products and we carefully consider all of the materials that we use:

Soap Bars: Each one is wrapped by hand in recycled kraft paper.

Glass jars: Durable and attractive but more importantly they can be easily recycled.

Balm Packaging: The small brown boxes are made from 70% recycled board and the aluminum tins that contain the balm can be easily recycled.

Gift Boxes: These contain a bed of natural wood wool to keep the products inside safe. Our wood wool is free from chemicals, biodegradable, and sourced from well-seasoned, low resin content, softwood trees harvested from renewable forests only within the UK.

Protective Packaging: Of course we have to make sure that your parcels arrive with you safely and this does involve using protective packaging. To remain as responsible as possible we reuse all suitable packaging that we receive our ingredients in - we have also sourced biodegradable bubble wrap and void fill to help us maintain our efforts.

Soap Dishes: These are made from fully sustainable hemu wood.
